The resort is surrounded with tropical shady towering tress, varieties of palms and bamboo, leafy fruit tress and wild flowers. The tobacco farm conservation project at Kaomai Lanna Resort features the unused tobacco curing barn can be conserved and restored and converted to be a charming unique resort, and how Kaomai Lanna Resort conveys local culture and tradition to the visitirs through the buildings and other activities from the resort. 60 years ago the toabacco industry in the northern part of Thailand reaches its peak., and tobacco farms and tobacco curing barns flourished. In Sanpatong, many locals planted tobacco and sent the tobacco leaves to dry them at the barns. The tobacco farm owner since 1980 continue to develop the 48 rais of land, although the tobacco industry moved out from the area in 1995 Being garden lover, We keeps the long aged shady trees. 15 years later , the barns started to convert into 36 lively guetsrooms.
